Good Day

I watched three baseball games and finished reading a book yesterday.

It was a good day.

Missed Shift

My daytime aide company missed another shift yesterday.

It's getting old.

Weekend

The  weekend seems to be fully staffed by aides I know and trust.

Hopefully it works out.

Cold Sore

I've had a cold sore in my mouth for about a week.

It's finally getting better.

Vacations

A couple of my regular aides are going on vacation.

We'll see how it goes.

Weight

My aide Yodit told me recently that I need to lose some weight.

I bet she never thought she'd say that.  Yodit was with me in the nursing home when I got down to 93 pounds.

Reno

I've been asked to submit an idea for a paper to a space conference to be held in Reno, Nevada, next spring.

I'd love to go out there.

Ducks

Yodit and I went out last night, and we saw a momma duch with 8 babies.

It's that time of year.

Weather

It's hot this week, but the forecast is for a very cool weekend.

It's crazy.

Windy

It's pretty windy outside now.

I think storms are forecast for later.

Novel

I'm making progress on my latest novel.

I can see how it might end.

Lomg Weekend

My daytime aide company failed  to cover three of the six weekend shifts in the weekend just past.

It was an irresponsible, unprofessional performance.

Pork Fritter

I got some pork fritters at the store today.

Mom used to get them for me.

Sinuses

I think my sinuses have finally settled in.

I should be good until autumn.

Peapod

Peapod got here late yesterday.

My order waited in the hall until my next aide arrived.

Electic Wheelchair

I took my electric wheelchair out last night.

It was chilly outside, but okay.

Agents

I've queried a couple more literary agents.

Now, I wait.

Going Out

I thought I might go out in my electric wheelchair tonight, but it'll probably be raining.

Maybe Monday.

Aides

The aide situation seems to have calmed down. just in time for summer vacations.

I'm getting to see all three games in the Pirates-Reds series this week.

I sent a query to another literary agent yesterday.

She's an established agent, but she's just starting her own agency.

Wet Weekend

We had a really wet weekend, just as forecasters said we would.
