Today is opening day of the major league baseball season.

Every day when I start typing, my hands and arms go all over, but as I keep working it gets better.

We got more snow than forecast Saturday.

Paper

I've been chosen to write a paper om the political organization of space colonization for a book to be published by an academic journal.

It's for no pay, but it might lead somewhere.

UMBC

UMBC became the first 16 seed in the NCAA Tournament to beat a 1 seed last week.

I never thought I'd see that.

Purdue

Purdue has made it to the Sweet 16.

They lost their starting center, though, which makes it tough.

Aides

My aide situation seems to be stable right now.

That's good.

I'm watching Oklahoma play Rhode Island in the NCAA tournament.

Oklahoma shouldn't be there.

The great physicist Stephen Hawking has died at 76.

He battled ALS for 55 years, during which time he also gave us a new understanding of the universe.

I usually do the NCAA brackets, but I'm skipping it this year.

I watched the O. J. Simpson interview last night.

I'd say he confessed to murder.

Heat

My apartment got really hot last night.

We had to call maintenance.

Notre Dame is still alive in their conference basketball tournament, and their best player is back.

They might be a dark horse.

It looks like we/ll get one more burst of snow this winter.

I've taken to watching FOXNews along with network news broadcasts.

It's amazing how they cover wildly different worlds.

One of the leaders of the Reno space conference I've mentioned will present my paper there.

It's pretty cool.

IU lost to Rutgers, of all teams, in the Big 10 tournament last night.

It wasn't pretty.

The Big 10 basketball tournament is underway.
