 Baseball spring training is in full swing.

Alas, my Pirates will struggle again.

 Some doctors are saying America can reach COVID herd immunity by April or May.

That would end this disaster.

 I watched two James Bond movies Sunday.

Neither was great, and one was pretty bad.

 IU's time as the last undefeated men's basketball champion may end this year.

Both Gonzaga and Baylor have great shots at doing it.

The good thing about February is that it's short.

March brings spring.

The boys of summer, and so summer itself, are on the way.

 I ordered an outlet bar from Amazon last week so I can fully use my Kindle in my bedroom, but it's not due to arrive until April 23.

I bet they beat that.

Tough Week

 This is going to be a tough week weather-wise.

We just have to get through it.

 I like my current aide situation. It's a small. dependable crew. and I'm comfortable with them all.

Hopefully, things won't change for a while.

Mom

 Today would have been Mom's 87th birthday.

I teased her that she was born the day before Abraham Lincoln.

According to a study out today, there may be a habitable planet orbiting Alpha Centauro A. a star similar to our Sum and only about four light years away.

The discovery still has to be confirmed, but wow!

Super Bowl

 I blew my Super Bowl prediction.

We'll see if the Colts can replace the Chiefs next year.

IU

 IU beat Iowa in collage hoops again yesterday.

That boosts the Hoosiers' chances of making the NCAA tournament.

 Assuming COVID plays no part, I'm saying KC 31, TB 17.

Cold

 It's looking like a bitter cold couple days coming.

Yuck.

 IU lost in overtime last night.

I didn't get to bed till nearly midnight.

Novel

 My agent tells me we've had a few polite declines of my novel, but he hasn't heard from all the proposals yet.

We're still in the game.

Masks

Watching college hoops, the coaches seem to remove their masks when they have the guys in a huddle and wear the mask when they're standing watching the game when no one is around them.

That seems backwards.
