Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was nice around here.  My sister Kim came early in the morning and prepared a great meal, and my brother Jon and his family came over, too.  My aide Foley was here, as well, and got his first taste of dumplings.  I'm not sure he was thrilled.

Another Failure

My daytime aide company again failed to cover a shift this morning.   I had to call my brother Jeff and ask him to come.  This after my team leader Janeka tried numerous times to make sure that shift would be covered because she's away.

The company insists it does its best, but if it can't cover a shift, it should at least inform my other aide company.  Maybe it does that, but, from my perspective, that doesn't seem to happen.

Mom

Mom is now living in a nursing home in Tipton.  She is beset by Parkinson's and likely Alzheimer's, though I'm not sure a doctor has formally said that.

I'm Back

Well, my old computer finally quit October 30.  We tried to have it fixed, but it was beyond hope after serving me well for eight fairly tumultuous years.  Then I moved to my new apartment, which I really like. November 9.  After that, we got a new computer, but it took me a while to get it figured out.

Hopefully, I'm back for good now.
