CBS Evening News had stories two or three nights recently about Bao Bao the panda being sent to China.

It's supposed to be back to cold and snow this weekend.

I met the new nurse from my daytime aide agency yesterday.

Churchill On Aliens

Here's an interesting fact.  Researchers have recently found that in 1939, with Europe on the brink of war, Winston Churchill wrote an essay speculating on life elsewhere in the universe.

In the essay, Churchill used fundamentally the same logic scientists use today to argue life might be common throughout the cosmos-- and allowed some of it might be smarter than we are.

Rumor Has It

A German shepherd named Rumor won Best in Show at Westminster this year.

She is a stunningly beautiful dog.

Tuesday Afternoon

My daytime aide company is still having trouble filling the Tuesday afternoon shift.  It failed again yesterday.

I have no idea what the issue is with Tuesday afternoon.

Baseball

I see some baseball teams, including the world champion Chicago Cubs, are opening spring training this week.

Winter is nearly over.

Westminster

The Westminster Dog Show is on FS1 tonight and tomorrow night.

I love seeing all the dogs.

Mom

Tomorrow would have been Mom's 83rd birthday.

We all miss her, and will until we're with her again.

Baby Monitor

I've started using a baby monitor system again this week to call my aide when I'm in bed.

It works well.

We're waiting for snow later today.

It is February in Indiana, after all.

Eating

One aide puts her arm behind my neck when she feeds me.

She's trying to keep my head forward, and she's a nice lady, but it's annoying.

Super Bowl

The Patruits won the Super Bowl last night in overtime.

The Falcons just couldn't close the deal.

A New York City literary agent has again asked to read one of my novels.  I queried her yesterday and seven minutes later she wrote back asking for the manuscript.

Today is Ground Hog Day.

I heard birds singing this morning, and I know major league baseball spring training camps open later this month.
