I have an aide who hums through the shift. I don't recognize the tune-- I wouldn't, because I'm not big on music-- but the aide hums it steadily along.
Yodit sometimes sings softly in her native language as she shaves or showers me, too. From her, I take it as a sign of something like contentment in her work, and it relaxes me. I hope the other aide's humming is similarly an indication of satisfaction.
